Activate Screaming Frog SEO crawler license

A 1-minute walkthrough of installing and activating Screaming Frog SEO Spider through the KLOOW app. Pick your system below — Windows or macOS.

How to activate

1Open the KLOOW app and click Screaming Frog in the left sidebar.
2On the SEO Spider card, check the status badge. If it says Not installed, click Install (Default Path) and wait for the installation to finish. Keep the default path — activation depends on it.
3Once the badge says Installed, click Activate License. KLOOW applies the license automatically — you don’t need to type anything.
4When you see the green check “Installed at the default path”, you’re done. Launch the SEO Spider and start crawling.

“Activate License” fails — the app is probably installed in a custom folder. Reinstall it from KLOOW using the default path and activate again.
The status doesn’t update — click the refresh button (circular arrow) at the top right of the KLOOW dashboard.
